How we support you
We're committed to support the needs of all trans and gender diverse employees. We strive to remove barriers and promote fair and diverse workplaces.
All Victorian Public Service organisations offer gender affirmation leave to support you with your journey.
And many public sector organisations are part of the Victorian Public Sector Pride Network and members of Pride in Diversity
As part of our commitement to diversity and inclusion, we're focusing on things like how we can:
- build an LGBTIQ+ inclusive culture across the public sector
- connect with LGBTIQ+ people through our Commisioner for LGBTIQ+ communities
- get recognised as an Australian Workplace Equality Index diverse workplace.
We're also working on:
- diversity and inclusion strategies
- trans and gender diverse and other LGBTIQ+ lived experience training
- support for managers on how to make inclusive workplaces
- equitable recruitment practices training.
