Position Summary
Peninsula Health currently has positions available for Hospital Medical Officers (HMOs) as part of our General Stream.

Our HMOs are given the opportunity to work in a number of disciplines whilst at the same time as achieving completion of key terms which facilitate general registration. No promise of completing all required terms is made - terms will be allocated from the available pool of rotations.

Current registration with AHPRA would be an extreme advantage, however for those applicants that are yet to receive registration, the Medical Workforce Unit will support you through this process to ensure it is as seamless as possible.

Key Responsibilities
• Under direction, provide appropriate medical care to patients and assist more senior doctors in complex cases.
• Consolidate and build personal skill levels to ensure that clients receive the best possible service reflecting up to date evidence based professional practice.
• Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and relevant legislative requirements.
• Demonstrates positive workplace behaviours and relationships at all times.

Selection Criteria
• MB BS or equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a recognised Intern program (PGY1)
• Eligible for registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
