We are seeking maternity cover for one Month of Monash NICU and two rotations, term 3 RCH allergy/immunology, term 4 Casey.

About the role


We are seeking maternity cover for one Month of Monash NICU and two rotations, term 3 RCH allergy/immunology, term 4 Casey.


Please note that this is not an accredited SRMO position. Applicants may apply for any of the components separately (e.g. NICU alone, Allergy RCH or Casey).


About You


Applications are invited from Medical Practitioners with at least 12 months paediatric experience following the intern year incorporating no more than 6 months neonatal medicine, and ideally in a RACP Level 3 paediatric centre.  They must also demonstrate an ability to practice competently at a high clinical standard.


What you need


Essential:



  • Twelve (12) months paediatric experience in a paediatric environment following the intern year.

  • Paediatric terms are defined as pure paediatric rotations ie. do not include emergency experience in a mixed emergency department or mixed terms incorporating paediatrics.

  • Previous neonatal experience of more than 3 months at Monash NICU – only if applying to cover NICU in July.

  • A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) which is recognised for registration by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency

  • Current AHPRA


Desirable:



  • Previous experience of paediatrics in RACP Level 3 sites.

  • Paediatric experience within a tertiary paediatric hospital o PLS/ APLS training
