Status: 2 x 6 month full time Registrar positions commencing from February 2022 and August 2022; OR 1 x 12 month full time Registrar position 12 months commencing from February 2022

The Position



We are seeking a doctor keen on a career in Medicine who is intent on taking the College examinations. This role will involve working with rotating registrars from the Austin Hospital in Melbourne. Teaching, both in formal settings, and on ward rounds and clinics is integral to the Bendigo approach. The successful applicant will be responsible for the care of about 15-20 acute medical patients with daily consultant input. Junior staff to assist will include 2 HMOs on a roster. There will be minimal night shifts rostered but there are weekend ward and MET duties as per roster with the other Medical Registrars.



The position has been designed to provide a wide range of opportunities to the successful candidate, there are daily consultant ward rounds and the opportunity to attend specialist outpatient clinics also (to be rostered – but include Endocrinology, Renal, Respiratory, gastroenterology.
