Monash Health Imaging Paediatric Fellow/SFR – Advertising Text



Applications are invited from qualified medical practitioners, registered in Australia, for the position of Monash Health Imaging Paediatric Fellow/Systems Focused Rotation position. The position is part time (43 hours per fortnight) from 06/08/2023 to 04/02/2024. The position would best suit a doctor who is wishing to extend the knowledge in basic science and practice of paediatric imaging and gain experience at this level.

About Monash Health Imaging


Imaging at Monash Health incorporates a full range of services including CT, US, MRI, DEXA, PET, Nuclear Medicine, X-Ray, Lithotripsy, OPG, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and Interventional and Therapeutic imaging services at the Monash Medical Centre - Clayton; Monash Children's Hospital, Clayton; Dandenong Hospital, Dandenong; Casey Hospital, Berwick; Moorabbin Hospital, Bentleigh East; Kingston Centre, Cheltenham and the Pakenham Health Centre, Pakenham. Imaging also supports the Monash University Biomedical Imaging site including MRI and PET MRI. The service provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs approximately 500 EFT and has a gross operating budget in excess of $100M.

About the Role


Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective person centred care, provide teaching and supervision of resident medical staff and students and undertake training towards attaining Fellowship of the relevant college.


You will be required to undertake patient assessment and management in consultation with the treating consultant and patient care coordination. Participation in the on call roster is expected.


This position is based across all Monash Health campuses.


The position is part time (43 hours per fortnight) from 06/08/2023 to 04/02/2024

You will:

Understand the role of the relevant college and the associated expectations of the fellow/SFR trainee role.



What you need



  • A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) which is recognised for registration by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

  • Trainee of relevant medical college.

  • Motor vehicle driver licence.

  • Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
