Monash Health is now hiring enthusiastic Resident doctors for their growing Emergency Network for 2023.


Full time or part time positions available


Come to Monash and get what you need working in ED



  • 6-month terms available in one ED on a 6- or 12-month contract

  • Rotations designed to meet requirements for ACEM FACEM training

  • Rotations for AGPT application with the potential to meet your Paediatric requirement*

  • Access to the ACEM ED Certificate training program; a 6-month introduction the fundamentals of Emergency Medicine

  • Or work in ED to get a taste of critical care and acute medicine to decide on what career is for you

  • Accredited for paediatric experience for General Practice Training


Access to ED Teaching programs, such as



  • ED Registrar Teaching or our Resident Teaching program

  • Undertake our free, in-house Point of Care Ultrasound training, provided by Victorian Sonographer of the year Caroline Cormack

  • Research opportunities through our Monash Emergency Research Collaborative (MERC) with Monash University


Work at one of our three sites



  • MMC Adults; a brand new Tertiary ED with state of the art facilities

  • Dandenong ED; A mixed ED that is the centre of our ED-led Toxicology unit as well as many surgical services

  • Casey ED; a mixed ED that is one of the fastest growing in the state, with expanding services and caseload


If you stay on with us in ED to undertake FACEM Training, you will get access to fantastic additional opportunities. These include Monash Children’s Paediatric ED, the new Victorian Heart Hospital ED, Toxicology, our Simulation Centre as well as the many other associated departments that we rotate to.
