What You Will Be Doing In addition to completing rotations at Frankston Hospital, Interns generally undertake rotations to our external sites - Rosebud Hospital, Golf Links Road or The Mornington Centre. There are also three Intern rotations to Warragul Hospital ED.• Under direction, provide appropriate medical care to patients and assist more senior doctors in complex cases.• Consolidate and build personal skill levels to ensure that clients receive the best possible service reflecting up to date evidence based professional practice• Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and relevant legislative requirements.• Demonstrate positive workplace behaviours and relationships at all times.• Attend and participate in our educational activitiesIt is recognised that Interns are commencing their medical career, Peninsula Health provides a range of supervisory and support mechanisms to ensure you succeed. Under the direction of more experienced medical staff, primarily registrars and through collaboration with other health professionals, Interns provide medical care to patients under supervision and support.NB. Intern positions are offered through the PMCV Computer Matching Service. Please refer to the PMCV Website for eligibility criteria and information deadlines.
What You Need• MBBS or equivalent• Be registered with the PMCV for the 2022 Intern match• Eligible for Provisional registration as a Medical Practitioner• Well-developed written and verbal skills• Ability to use common software applications
