Applications are now open to candidates anticipating initial registration as a Registered Nurse in 2023 to join the Monash Health Graduate Programin the following streams:



  • General Nursing- Summer stream (February 2023)

  • General Nursing - Autumn stream (May 2023)

  • General Nursing - Winter stream (August 2023)


You must be eligible to participate in Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) Allocations and Placement Service to apply for these streams.



These streams offer Graduates:



  • A twelve-month structured program to consolidate your skills

  • Permanent employment is guaranteed with Monash Health Bureau (Pool) at the completion of the program, at your choice of Part time or Full time

  • A comprehensive orientation program conducted prior to commencement in the clinical area


 Part time hours



  • 0.84 EFT; 64 hours per fortnight or 0.95EFT 72 hours per fortnight

  • Five (5) weeks annual leave pro rata over twelve (12) months or


 Full time hours



  • 1.0 EFT; 76 hrs per fortnight + ADO hrs accruing at 4 hrs per fortnight

  • Six (6) weeks annual leave pro rata over 12 months


 Commencement



  • General Nursing Summer stream has a clinical commencement date in February 2023 (TBC) with a comprehensive orientation program conducted in December 2022 - January 2023.



  • General Nursing Autumn stream has a clinical commencement date in May 2023 (TBC) with a comprehensive orientation program conducted in April 2023.



  • General Nursing Winter stream has a clinical commencement date in August 2023 (TBC) with a comprehensive orientation program conducted in July 2022.

Working with Children’s Check, Fit2Work Police Check & Immunisation Check



  • A current ‘Employee’ Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC), a valid Fit2Work police check and a complete immunisation status check is required for all successful graduate applicants.

  • Any offer of employment will be confirmed on the successful outcome of a police check and WWCC.

Under the Victorian Public Health orders, all employees working within the Public Health system must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and are required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status.  The current orders require evidence of three doses.
