Monash Health Graduate Program, Monash Children's Hospital - Paediatric & Neonatal Nursing stream:

This stream offers Graduates:

• A twelve-month structured program to consolidate your paediatric nursing skills


• Completing graduates are encouraged and supported in applying for vacancies within Monash Children’s Hospital


• Permanent employment is guaranteed with Monash Health Bureau (Pool) at the completion of the program at your choice of part-time (4 days per fortnight - 0.42 EFT) to Full-time (10 Shifts per fortnight -1.0 EFT)

Part-time Hours

• 0.84 EFT (64 hours per fortnight) or 0.95 EFT (72 hours per fortnight)


• Five (5) weeks annual leave pro rata over twelve (12) months   or

Full time Hours

• 1.0 EFT (76 hrs per fortnight + ADO hrs accruing at 4 hrs per fortnight)


• Six (6) weeks annual leave over 12 months

This program has a clinical commencement date in February 2023 with a comprehensive Paediatric and Neonatal orientation program conducted in January 2023.

• Register with PMCV Allocation and Placement Service https://allocations.pmcv.com.au/. You will be required to provide your Candidate ID number in your Monash Health Application Template.

Working with Children’s Check, Fit2Work Police Check and Immunisation Check

• A current ‘Employee’ Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC), a valid Fit2Work police check and a complete immunisation status check is required for all successful graduate applicants.


• Any offer of employment will be confirmed on the successful outcome of these checks.
