Post-PMCV applications are now open to candidates who are anticipating initial registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife in 2023 and who are ineligible to participate in PMCV or are previously unmatched in PMCV for the following professional streams:

Nursing

Midwifery

Double Degree

The Monash Health Graduate Program offers:

A twelve-month structured program to consolidate your skills, with commencement dates in February, May (Nursing only) and August 2023 (subject to position availability)

The option to work either Full time or Part Time during your Graduate Program

Permanent employment is guaranteed with Monash Health Bureau (Pool) at the completion of the program, at the EFT of your choice

A comprehensive orientation program conducted in December 2022 - January 2023 for February intakes, April 2023 for May intakes and July 2023 for August intakes

A diverse range of supportive clinical areas to build your experience and confidence

 Part time hours

0.84 EFT; 64 hours per fortnight or 0.95EFT 72 hours per fortnight

Five (5) weeks annual leave pro rata over twelve (12) months or

 Full time hours

1.0 EFT; 76 hrs per fortnight + ADO hrs accruing at 4 hrs per fortnight

Six (6) weeks annual leave pro rata over 12 months

Rotations

Graduate Nurses complete two (2) 6-month rotations within a 12-month program;

Midwifery and Double Degree Graduates complete four (4) three-month rotations within a 12-month program;

Two (2) birth suite rotations

Two (2) post/antenatal rotations for Midwifery Graduates or one (1) postnatal/antenatal rotation and one (1) nursing area rotation for Double Degree Graduates

Working with Children’s Check, Fit2Work Police Check, Immunisation Check & Visas

A current ‘Employee’ Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC), a valid Fit2Work police check and a complete immunisation status check is required for all successful graduate applicants.

Any offer of employment will be confirmed on the successful outcome of a police check and WWCC

Applicants who are not Australian Citizens or permanent residents must provide evidence of a valid temporary residency visa that allows full working rights with no restrictions before commencing in the program.

Under the Victorian Public Health orders, all employees working within the Public Health system must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza and are required to provide acceptable evidence of their vaccination status. The current orders require evidence of three doses for COVID-19.

All applicants to positions with Monash Health will need to upload acceptable evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19 and Influenza as part of their application. Acceptable evidence is a copy of your Immunisation History Statement which can be accessed via myGov.
