About Monash Doctors

The Monash Doctors Workforce (MDW) is responsible for medical workforce planning and the recruitment of senior medical staff (SMS) and junior medical staff (JMS) across Monash Health. The MDW is also responsible for managing JMS rotations, providing employee service functions to JMS and SMS and for providing policy advice on all issues relating to the employment of medical staff at Monash Health.

About the Role

Monash Women’s, Monash Health have the following Provisional O&G Registrar positions available:

  • Two Full time positions commencing Monday 3rd April 2023 to 4th February 2024
  • Two Full time 6-month positions commencing Monday 7th August 2023 to 4th February 2024

All positions rotating through the Monash Women’s sites, as well as our teaching partnering hospitals in regional Victoria and the private sector.

This position offers a unique opportunity for doctors intended on applying for the RANZCOG Training Program or SIMG FRANZCOG pathway. Successful candidates will be offered a structured and broad range of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology ensuring that they are competitively placed for future CTP applications.

This position offers opportunity to develop procedural skills such as instrumental births and caesarean section as well as supervision of the birth suite and minor gynaecology operating.

As part of this position, successful applicants will be assisted in preparing their application for college training and interview.

The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Unit is the largest provider of women’s health services in Victoria. In 2021, Monash Health cared for nearly 10,000 births, and it’s forecasted to increase further.
