About the Role


Monash Health has a large support team for training including the Director of Training, three hospital Site Training Coordinators, and an Examination coordinator. We also have staff Psychotherapy Psychiatrists helping registrars with their Psychotherapy cases.


We provide seven Advanced Training Certificate programs in Generalist, Adult , Consultation-Liaison, Aged, Child and Adolescent,  Psychotherapy and Addiction Psychiatry.  Forensic placements can also be organised.


Applications are invited from Medical Practitioners, with experience working in psychiatry, who already have full general registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA).


We have 16 positions available in 2023 for entry into our RANZCP accredited special training scheme, which is closely affiliated with Monash University. Monash Health provides quality supervision, excellent training and structured educational programs and opportunities through all stages of specialist training. About You


We are looking for doctors with experience working in psychiatry, who wish to become psychiatrists.


What you need:



  • Applicants must have achieved full general AHPRA registration before 06/02/2023 or they will not be approved by the RANZCP for training in 2023.

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) 

  • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications 

  • Working with Children's Certificate
