RISE Program- Acute Medical Services
Participants of this six (6) month program will explore higher level system-based patient assessment principles as well as a range of medical conditions, with a focus on identifying and responding to clinical deterioration.
The Acute Medical RISE Program speciality areas are:
To be eligible to apply for this program, applicants must have a minimum of 6 months recent clinical experience as a registered nurse.
RISE Program- Acute Surgical Services
Participants of this six (6) month program will develop an increased understanding and awareness of the assessment and management principles required to safely provide care for a patient pre- and post-operatively including pain management, invasive devices and wound/stoma management.
The Acute Surgical RISE Program Speciality areas are:
To be eligible to apply for this program, applicants must have a minimum of 6 months recent acute nursing experience.
RISE Program- Trauma- Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) & Plastics (7SE), and Orthopaedics (7SW)
The six (6) month Trauma Program brings together participants from Orthopaedics (7SW) and Ear, Nose, Throat (ENT) and Plastics (7SE). Participants will gain knowledge and clinical skill in trauma assessment and management with a focus on identifying and responding to clinical deterioration.
The Trauma RISE Program speciality areas are:
To be eligible to apply for this program, applicants must have a minimum of 6 months recent acute nursing experience.
RISE Program- Nursing Resource Transition Pool (NRTP)
Participants of this six (6) month program will gain knowledge in caring for patients with acute medical conditions and surgical presentations, as well as the skills required to manage invasive devices and the deteriorating patient.As a participant of the RISE Program- NRTP, you will be working in a variety of settings including the acute wards at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Park Campus.
RISE Program- Sub Acute Services (Royal Park Campus & 4SE)
Participants of this six (6) month program will focus on patient assessment principles, common presentation and management within the sub-acute setting with a focus on identifying and responding to clinical deterioration. Participants work at either the City Campus in the Acute Care of Elderly ward, or at the Rehabilitation, Royal Park Campus.
