The Opportunity

Aboriginal Nursing Cadet:

Albury Wodonga Health are offering an Aboriginal Nursing Cadetship position in 2023.

To qualify:

•             You must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

•             You must be living in Victoria or Albury/Wodonga

•             Be enrolled in the second or third years of a Bachelor of Nursing Degree in 2023

The aim of the cadetship to provide you with paid work experience in a supportive, culturally safe environment to help you prepare for your nursing career. The cadetship involves 40 days (equivalent to 8 weeks full time) spread out over 2023. This is separate to your student placement for your degree. You will get the opportunity to complete three rotations including two clinical areas at Albury Wodonga Health and a community placement at Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service.
