About the role

An outstanding opportunity exists for a passionate and highly motivated senior mental health clinician, with extensive clinical knowledge and management experience, to Lead the Adult Mental Health Access team.  This role is responsible for the effective leadership, development and operational management of the Adult Mental Health Access services - Telephone Triage, Emergency Department Response, Mental Health and Police Response, and Crisis Assessment and Treatment..

This role will report directly to the Associate Program Director Adult Access Mental Health Program Access and work closely with the Clinical Director of Access to lead and drive strategies that improve patient care, outcomes, patient flow and enhance the patient experience within the Access Service and across Eastern Health.

About you

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Current registration or membership with the relevant Board or Association


• Extensive experience in a range of clinical mental health settings


• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience


• Demonstrated experience managing multiple health professions and a commitment to excellence in the provision of health services


• A strong commitment to high-quality care


• The ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Excellent communication and organisational skills
