We have two exciting opportunities for an Accountant, Portfolio Accounting to join the Finance Branch within the Governance Policy and Coordination portfolio. 

There are two fixed term contracts for 6 months and 17 months respectively, where you will be part of the team providing financial advice and support to the Portfolio Agencies of the Department of Premier and Cabinet. The Accountant position will provide financial and management accounting advice, transactional support, information and reports to their clients, the portfolio bodies. 

This position is also responsible for providing day-to-day assistance and advice on management accounting and financial reporting issues and ensuring the availability of appropriate and timely month-end, budgeting and forecasting information and reports to allow for informed decision making.

As the successful applicant you will be encouraged to build relationships and act as a business partner across several of the Department's smaller portfolios.

Mandatory requirements

  • Management Accounting background
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CA/CPA/ACCA qualification
