The Victorian Legal Services Board and Commissioner (VLSB+C) is the independent regulator of the legal profession in Victoria. About the Position

The Administration Assistant will, as directed by the Assistant Manager, Manager or Director, assist all other team members with tasks assigned to them relating to investigations, litigation matters and project work. This role is integral to support the team by delivering comprehensive administrative and support services.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake the accurate and timely capturing, processing and actioning of records in line with organisational standards, business rules and procedures and having regard to confidentiality and privacy obligations and requirements. Tasks undertaken principally through an eDRMS (Content Manager/Resolve) and other databases.
  • Perform a range of administrative functions including copying and compiling of files and documents, filing documents with VCAT or the Courts, quality checking of documentation, diary management and managing the cloud based document-sharing platform for the team.
  • Preparing chronologies of files for team members, electronic briefs to counsel, and compiling applications for order for filing with VCAT.
  • Preparation of electronic documentation using the PDF Binder application including redaction, merging and collating of documents.
  • Management of electronic registers and spreadsheets for the team.

Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded.
  • Experience working in a legal environment would be highly regarded.
