Administration Officer

Applications are sought from suitably experienced and qualified accounts receivable officer / receptionist to work in the Finance Department at Echuca Regional Health. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Operation of the hospital's switchboard relaying telephone calls and queries.
  • Maintain the debtor systems ensuring that all debtor information is accurate and reliable and update any information as appropriate.
  • Ensure all fees are accurately raised and promptly forwarded to relevant parties for payment.
  • Reconcile receipts and cash floats and ensure that all monies received are banked promptly.
  • Ensure effective follow-up of all outstanding accounts receivable debts.
  • Attend to debtor enquiries and respond in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Liaise and communicate with colleagues, resolving any issues and also ensuring accuracy and timeliness of debtors.
  • Be competent in the key components of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer, Oracle and iPM.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities as appropriate.
  • Identify and participate in relevant training programs as well as participating in team meetings. 

Our team requires someone who has:

  • A Customer service focus
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in accounts payable
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • A high standard of technological expertise including data entry and the key components of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer 

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check prior to appointment.
