Administration Support Officer - Smile Squad

STATUS:                         Ongoing, Part Time, 32.0 hours per fortnight

DEPARTMENT:               Oral Health

A new and interesting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to use their administration skills providing support for the delivery of the Smile Squad dental program in East Gippsland.

The Position:

The Administration Support Officer will report to the Oral Health Manager at BRHS and provide professional administration support to the Smile Squad team.  This will include effective collaboration, coordination and promotion of Smile Squad activities, performing tasks such as appointment scheduling, data entry, report production and liaison with schools.

The Program:

The Smile Squad program has been developed by Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) with the purpose of implementing a sustainable approach to improve the dental health of school aged children. The program commenced across the state of Victoria in 2020 and provides free dental care to all Victorian public primary and secondary school students.  BRHS, in conjunction with GEGAC is responsible for the delivery of the Smile Squad across East Gippsland primary and secondary schools in 2021.

Key criteria you need:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administration/reception role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform administration duties including document formation, file management and data entry into electronic systems with high attention to detail.
  • Well-developed keyboard and computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focussed approach.
  • Demonstrated self-starter who can work independently and use initiative to identify and solve problems.
