An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Administrator to join the Allied Health Division in a full time fixed term role.

The purpose of role is to provide senior administrative support to programs within the Allied Health Division.  The specific programs include the Ngarra Jarra program (Social Work Department), the Disability Liaison Officer program and the Occupational Therapy (OT) department’s equipment contract and data and quality-reporting role.  It is the role of the administrator to enable each of the programs to efficiently and accurately conduct their essential business.  This includes managing communications, online and web based content, data systems and reporting requirements, direct patient liaison and problem solving support, internal and external stakeholder management and providing secretarial support to essential meetings. 

This role sits within the OT department and reports to both the manager of the OT and Social Work departments. The role is split .6EFT in OT and .2EFT in Social Work.  This position is responsible for the oversight and delegation of all HS1 admin roles and tasks.  This role is required to undertake administrative duties within the allied health division as required.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:

  • Demonstrated several years experience in relevant role or with similar duties

  • Demonstrated advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office 365 products including Sharepoint, Access, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook

  • Able to enter data accurately into varying Microsoft Access Databases and Excel spreadsheets, which will be validated with reports generated for operational management

  • Willingness to learn new IT systems to enable data management and patient care

  • Understand and demonstrate the principles of working within a team

  • Ability to manage patient information in accordance with organisational and legislative policy and procedure.

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise, use initiative and problem solve independently

  • A commitment to best practice in customer service

  • Excellent organistional, verbal and written skills

  • Demonstrated ability to promote a professional and caring image and sensitivity to the specific needs of the diverse range of patients and staff
