About our Emergency Services


Monash Health Emergency Departments treat over 150,000 emergency patients a year at Monash Medical Centre Clayton campus, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital. Patients have access to a full range of treatment options, including intensive care.


Our Emergency Department at Casey Hospital in Berwick, services the communities and surrounds of Casey and Cardinia. Over 66,000 people present to the emergency department each year.


Inclusive of medical, surgical, paediatric, maternity, mental health and subacute. We have recently expanded with the addition of general medical beds, additional operating theatres, Intensive Care Unit and increase of pathology and pharmacy services.  We are currently seeking to increase our resources to meet this demand and the needs of our community.


About The Role


Joining our team as an Emergency Administration Officer, your desire to help others especially in their urgent situations, will be well met by this job. You will be the first contact for many visitors to our 24 hour emergency area.


Your shifts will pass quickly in this busy environment as you respond to the varying needs of our visitors supporting our clinical staff by:



  • Registering patient information

  • Assisting admissions, discharges and transfers

  • Administration, data entry, telephone support (internal/externally)

  • Along with other clerical tasks as they arise


Available Shifts:


Working across a fortnightly roster, we are looking to allocate a roster of 4-6 shifts per fortnight with shift times available as listed below;



  • Week 1 Monday 1400-200 and 2200-0600 hours, Tuesday 2200-0600 hours, Wednesday 0700-1500 and 1500-2300 hours, Thursday 1500-2300 hours, Friday 0700-1500 hours, Saturday 1500-2300 hours and Sunday 1800-0200 hours

  • Week 2  Monday 1400-2200 and 2200-0600 hours, Tuesday 1400-2200 and 2200-0600 hours, Friday 0700-1500 and 1500-2300 hours, and Saturday 1400-2200 hours,


About You


Implementing your strong customer service skills and your ability to remain helpful in what can be a demanding environment.  You understand the ED is a fast paced and sensitive


environment, with that we will offer comprehensive training that will fully prepare you. To further consider your application we are looking for you to have:



  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of Medical terminology (advantageous)

  • Experience with our software; EMR & iPM (desirable)

  • Advanced keyboard/data entry skills

  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment

  • Exceptional & effective communication skills

  • Subject to a clear a police check

  • Current working with children’s check
