About the role

The primary purpose of this position is to provide reception, administrative and clerical support for the Wimmera Cancer Centre, which incorporates the Day Oncology Unit, Medical Day Unit, Haemodialysis Unit and the Palliative Care Service. This position assists with the facilitation for smooth client flow, liaising with team members, patients, families and other personnel, date and the entry of required minimum data into IPM and ARIA.

The role undertakes a variety of clerical duties including treatment booking, reception, telephone inquiries, records management, data entry and collection and related secretarial support.

Skills and experience

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry with a willingness to be trained in the specific programs required.
  • Office experience including demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to work unsupervised and to prioritise tasks.
