Reception/ Administration Assistant

Applications are invited from experienced administrative workers to join our professional team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide cover for personal / annual leave for current roles and can include working individual shifts and week blocks. Shifts can include 24 hours, 7 day per week, including public holidays, across numerous departments within Wimmera Health Care Group. The Reception/ Administration Assistant will perform day-to-day administrative duties and requires a strong focus on customer service skills including a pleasant welcoming manner and the ability to relate appropriately to a broad range of people.

Essential:




  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

  • Pleasant and courteous telephone manner

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and willingness to be trained in the specific programs required

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, use initiative and maintain accurate records

  • Well developed time management and work process skills


Desirable:



  • Recent clerical experience in a similar role

  • Qualifications in Business Administration

  • Experience working with switchboards 

  • Experience with cash handling, EFTPOS
