Victoria Police is currently advertising one (1), part-time, VPS-2 position for a fixed term period (listed below) within Southern Metro Region. As the successful applicant, you will provide administrative support within an existing team. Your primary role will be as an Administration/Property Officer within Southern Metro Division Three (Cardinia, Greater Dandenong, and Casey Police Service Areas) with initial duties at the Narre Warren Police Complex within the Property Office.

Your duties will include:

  • Undertake a range of functions around the receipt, management, and disposal of property items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation.
  • Perform a variety of computerized activities including data entry, typing and word processing.
  • Attend enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, provide initial information and advice as required.
  • Receive, record and distribute mail and correspondence as required.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and systems to perform a range of administrative tasks including, records management, data entry and word processing tasks.
  • Must have the ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Be adaptable to change.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x part-time, fixed term (current – 30/06/2025) position available.
  • 0.39 FTE which equates 29.6 hours per fortnight.
  • $55,439 - $63,318 plus superannuation pro rata (0.39 FTE or 29.6 Hours per fortnight) estimated salary $21621.21 per annum.
  • This position is located at the Narre Warren Police Station, 1-7 Lauderdale Road, Narre Warren.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
