About the role:

Shepparton Police require an energetic and dynamic person to be a part of the Administrative/Property Team.
The successful applicant must be willing to work in a team environment at the Shepparton Police Station under the supervision of a Team Leader and the station Senior Sergeants, be a quick learner and self-motivated. The role will undertake administrative duties as well as the management and recording of seized and lost property.  As a Victoria Police employee, you will support the organisation's commitment to community safety.

Your duties will include:

  • The recording of daily correspondence, both internal and external.
  • Archiving documents.
  • Working on Victoria Police databases / systems.
  • The administration and management of property seized and found.
  • Station compliance and maintenance management.
  • Notetaking and preparing minutes for internal and external meetings.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • The ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing administration support duties.
  • The ability to work unsupervised.
  • Self-motivation.
  • A proved record of ethical behaviour and a commitment to the Victoria Police Code of Ethics, Conduct and the Organisational Values.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • This is a part time (0.54FTE) 41 hours per fortnight, ongoing position available, 20008953.
  • Position is located at the Shepparton Police Complex (155 Welsford Street, Shepparton) or any other location within the Division/PSA, as required.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with the Acting Chief Health Officer's Direction – COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions, you are required to be fully vaccinated (this includes a booster vaccination) and your employment with Victoria Police is subject to proof of vaccination.
