As a RANZCP Advanced Certificate Registrar in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry , you will be expected to work in an accredited training role in accordance with RANZCP Registrar requirements and perform the following functions as a Psychiatry Registrar from February 2023;

  • Assess and treat patients with mental illness, with appropriate level of supervision from the consultant psychiatrist 
  • Provide clinical leadership and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting   
  • Liaise with health care professionals [HCP] across teams and divisions within Austin Health as well as external to the Austin 
  • Participation in after hours and ECT rosters 
  • Active participation in the weekly registrar education program and peer support 
  • Active engagement in teaching and supervision for medical students/Interns/HMOs
