Ambulance Victoria (AV) currently has four exciting opportunities for suitably experienced Health & Safety Advisors to join our People & Culture division to provide critical health and safety advice and support service to all areas of AV including the Grampians and Barwon South West regions (including Air Ambulance), the Hume and Loddon Mallee regions, the Gippsland Region, the Metropolitan Region and non-operational and corporate areas.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior People Partner, these are fulltime roles. Three are permanent roles, and the other is a 12-month fixed term role until 30 June 2023.
These positions will be based out of our Regional Offices in Geelong, Bendigo, Blackburn or Doncaster. Successful applicants can also negotiate a Working from Home hybrid arrangement, however, must be willing to travel to locations in the Grampians/Barwon regions and/or Loddon Mallee/Hume and/or Gippsland regions to support our client groups.

About you
To be considered for this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline and have proven skills and experience in its practical application and an extensive understanding of OHS legislation. Furthermore, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly desired.
You are a service driver who uses your expert knowledge and experience to influence, make sound decisions and align people and business strategies to achieve Health and Safety imperatives. You have extensive working knowledge and experience in the implementation, maintenance and review of safety management systems and safety audits. In addition, you will also have extensive skills and knowledge in conducting Risk Assessments.
You will be known for your collaborative working style, acting as a role model and leader for health and safety awareness and accountability, facilitating safety culture change, along with your highly developed Microsoft Office applications experience, will ensure success in this role.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to travel across our regions and throughout Metropolitan Melbourne, hence the successful candidate must hold a current Victorian Driver's Licence and be willing to travel.

The position is graded at AV4. The AV grade salary range for AV- 4 position is $95,695 - $119,761 plus 10% superannuation. The expectation is that salary on commencement is offered at the base of the AV grade.
