About the Role

An opportunity exists with our APMHS Community Team at Peter James Centre for a passionate and enthusiastic mental health clinician who has sound clinical knowledge and experience within Older Persons mental health. Leadership experience as well as clinical expertise is a must.You will work alonside the Leadership Team to ensure Department KPI targets are met, and have opportunities to perform clinical work with clients who have complex mental health needs utilising the  brief intervention model of care. You need the ability to work autonomously as well as providing support to a team .

The APMHS Community Team is a community based mental health outreach team, servicing people over the age of 65years. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services and support based on the Recovery Model principles.

To be successful in the role you will have:

 Current Victorian drivers licence

• Meet key selection criterea


• Post graduate qualifications 


• Highly  developed interpersonal and leadership skills


• Ability to work as part of a diverse team


• Strong commitment to high quality patient care


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• Ability to Facilitate Therapeutic Groups for clients


• Current registration with AHPRA or governing body
