An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant to join our Better@home-subacute program in a fixed-term, full time role.

Better@homeis an inpatient model and part ofa 2020-2021 State Budget initiative which aims to deliver more healthcare within patients’ homes where appropriate and supported by the patient, through use of home-delivered and virtual care.Austin Health’sBetter@home-subacute programoperates 7 days per week and sitswithin the Continuing Care Division and includesGEM@home and ResidentialIn Reach.



The Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant is a member of the Better@home-subacute team which sits within the HIP Community Rehabilitation Service. The Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant works as a member of the Better@home team to respond to the changing needs of patients as they progress through @home services through to community-based care. The Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant will work under the supervision of theBetter@home allied health professionals, providing therapy to clients to optimise or maintain independence and functional capacity as care needs change and in accordance with the principles of goal-based, patient-centred care.
