Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Anaesthetist to join the Anaesthetic Services team.

Chief Medical Officer the successful applicant will play an important role in the provisions of Anaesthetic Services for patients at Latrobe Regional Hospital.The successful applicant will:

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Provide anaesthetic services, within credentialed privileges to patients of LRH at the relevant site and location in collaboration with other Anaesthetists and appropriate staff. 

  • Co-operate with the other Anaesthetists to provide on-call services on an equitable basis.

  • Work towards the provision of best practice care to all patients in the context of current professional knowledge and organisation al resources.

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision/teaching for junior medical staff as well as other clinical staff.

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated clinical ability commensurate with that expected of an Anaesthetist.

  • Experience working at a senior level in a major hospital

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Victorian Public Hospital system

  • Demonstrated ability to be involved in change

  • Demonstrable interpersonal and negotiation skills at a high level

  • Adherence to safe practice standards and policies

  • High level decision-making ability

  • Ability to further own professional development
