  • Anatomical Pathologist - Pathology Department

  • 40 Hours (0.53 EFT) per fortnight


Monash Health is the largest public hospital network in Victoria and is affiliated to Monash University. The pathology department processes approximately 28,000 surgical biopsies, 7,000 cytology specimens and more than 150 perinatal autopsies each year.


The Department is staffed by Anatomical Pathologists and 4 Anatomical Pathology registrars.

Monash Health Emergency Departments treat over 150,000 emergency patients a year at Monash Medical Centre Clayton campus, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital. Patients have access to a full range of treatment options, including intensive care.


About The Role


The successful applicant will provide comprehensive specialist diagnostic services in Anatomical Pathology and Cytology.  The candidate should be willing to specialise in an area of need such as dermatopathology, endocrine pathology and breast pathology. The candidate should be open to develop an interest in other specialised areas including perinatal pathology. The candidate should be willing to participate in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and quality activities. Any research interest will be encouraged and supported.
