About the Role
Are you a Registered Midwife looking to advance your career? Gippsland Southern Health Service are currently recruiting for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to assist the Nurse Unit Manager with the daily running of the Maternity Unit. If you are a dynamic leader and want to work in a great team environment, this is the role for you. Share you midwifery knowledge to our future midwives while receiving mentoring with management tasks.

The successful applicant must be prepared to relieve the Nurse Unit Manager if required, undertake delegated portfolio work, work all shifts and will have completed or be prepared to undertake Advanced Life Support/Neonatal life support competencies.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications as a Registered Nurse.
  • Registered Midwife and or Urgent Care experience would be advantageous.
  • Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • Level 3 FSEP. 
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Time management and decision making skills.
  • Evidence of ongoing self-development.

Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs.  Salary Packaging is available for all staff.  The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check.
