About Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Unit in Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS)

The Early in Life Mental Health Service (ELMHS) offers assessment and treatment for infants, children and adolescents from 0-18 years in the southern region.
The Perinatal & Infant Inpatient Unit (PIIU) is a six bed Inpatient unit providing mental health interventions to Postnatal and Antenatal clients (expectant mothers)
About The Role
The Associate Nurse Manager (ANM) is dedicated to providing consistent and therapeutic care to mother and infants (under 1 years of age) along with their families within an emotionally/ physically safe and healthy environment in which they can participate in treatment and nurture the relationship with their baby. Supported by the Nurse Manager, the role will provide an opportunity for the development of management and leadership skills.
The ANM will play a pivotal role in our model of care which is one component of the broader ELMHS clinical model to give families a smooth transition between acute and community specialist mental health care. This is a clinical leadership role working closely with the Nurse Manager and collaboratively with an expert multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient centred and family care at all times.
This role will be appointed on a part-time basis (32 hours per fortnight) for five months, working across a 24/7 rotating roster.
About You
You are either an experienced Registered Nurse with excellent clinical skills working with children and families who are in distress and face complex issues and ready to take the next step in a clinical leadership role or you are an accomplished clinical leader/ANM wishing to consolidate your management skills; either way you are passionate working with children and their families to deliver patient centred care and excellence.
