About the role:

The BAS - Business Application Support Officer position provides first point of contact support to Victoria Police members, enabling the access and uninterrupted use of all supported applications and technologies whilst ensuring processes adhere to Victoria Police frameworks, policies, standards guidelines.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing daily first point of contact support to users and application owners
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Victoria Police operational applications.
  • Analysing specifications of existing application systems and functions.
  • Leading improvements to application security priorities and developing improved governance processes.
  • Leading the auditing and governance of priority applications and processes.

Contributing to capability uplift of individuals and the team in support of ICT Services objectives

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Be available to perform work over a 24/7 period if required
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
  • This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • This position requires shift work as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • In accordance with organisational policy, all Victoria Police employees are required to be fully vaccinated (including a booster vaccination) against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exception. As such your employment with Victoria Police is subject to providing evidence of your vaccination status.
