ABOUT THE POSITION:

Museums Victoria, Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking an Application Systems Administrator to ensure our corporate applications and business systems are being effectively managed and have appropriate life cycle plans implemented to enable their secure and reliable delivery to clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual to join the Technology Strategy and Delivery team to liaise and work closely with the various key stakeholders (both within ICT and across the business) to keep our complex suite of corporate business systems and applications current, fit for purpose, and sustainably managed.

Working with Museums Victoria Technology team, core functionsof this position include: 

• Assist in the planning, implementation, documentation, enhancement, and life cycle maintenance of Museums Victoria's corporate business systems
• Determine technical standards and guidelines for digital systems that meet the functional requirements of Museums Victoria and facilitate flexibility, collaboration, and functionality in an evolving technology environment
• Develop and implement management, monitoring, maintenance, and security procedures for Museums Victoria's corporate business systems to maximise operational reliability and availability
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a productive, engaged and vibrant department through effective communication and contribution to ICT Strategy and Delivery planning activities, forums and meetings; and to MV through representation and participation beyond ICT Strategy and Delivery
  • Provide considered advice on current digital application technologies to ensure ICT is meeting evolving organisational business requirements as effectively as possible

Relevant skills and attributes:

• Extensive skills and experience in providing technical advice and support in relation to corporate business systems and applications within a complex multi-tiered environment.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with current server technologies and database platforms with a focus on Microsoft products and services including operating systems and M365 technologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of successfully implementing collaborative technologies to facilitate improved business processes.
• Demonstrated experience in desktop and mobile endpoint software deployment and device management (eg MDM, Intune, SCCM).
• Well-developed communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of non-technical stakeholders.
• Plan, facilitate, work independently within set parameters, report project progress clearly and accurately, and deliver on project deadlines within schedule and budget.

OTHER INFORMATION

Reporting to the Technical Specialist and Solutions Architect, this is an exceptional opportunity for a committed individual to apply their skills and gain experience in supporting the Technology Strategy and Delivery team. This role is a full-time, ongoing position and the salary on offer is $90,067 per annum (base of grade) plus 10% superannuation.
