About the Role
The Applications Team Leader role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day support, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications within DV. This includes managing a small team, delegating tasks, providing guidance, ensuring timely issue resolution and that various initiatives are completed within the allocated time frame and budget.
About You
- Highly regarded Tertiary qualified in IT or in a business-related discipline which must include specific studies in relation to Information Technology, or Business/Commerce qualifications.
- Project Management certifications will be highly regarded.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Team Leader or other IT team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and project management methodologies.
- Experience with using and troubleshooting in some or all of the following-TechnologyOne, Nintex Workflow Automation,Content Manager (TRIM),UniPhi and Squiz Matrix CMS.
- Team oriented, friendly self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work flexibly as part of a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.
- Ability to provide leadership in customer service and customer communication on behalf of the IT Team.
- Strong communication skills – can adapt language, content and style depending on audience and message to be conveyed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and ongoing operations of software applications, ensuring adherence to business needs, workplan timelines and budget constraints.
- Manage and coordinate a team, monitor task assignment and projects based on individual strengths and skills.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application development processes.
- Address and resolve technical issues or challenges that arise for the organisation by working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols to safeguard data and maintain the integrity of software applications.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to understand and address the specific application needs of different business units within the organisation.
- Continuously monitor and assess the performance of applications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary updates or modifications to enhance functionality and user experience.
