Aquatic Senior Project Officer, Active Recreation
The Team
The new workforce aquatic program assists young people aged 17 to 25 years to find work in the aquatic sector by subsidising their accreditation – making it easier for them to get into the pool to teach kids water safety and swimming skills. The program provides young people with an entry point to allow them to pursue or continue career opportunities in the aquatic sector. The program will contribute to addressing the shortage of accredited swim teachers created by the pandemic.
The Role
This position will coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Program. The position will support other Active Recreation activities, whilst working closely with the Manager, Active Recreation, Active Recreation team members, and the Programs and Governance team.
This role is responsible for managing projects that identify sustainable initiatives to enhance the governance of the Victorian community sport and active recreation sector and promotes appropriate standards of behaviour at club, league and association and state level.
