About the role

AV is seeking an experienced ARV Operations Manager.  This is a full time, permanent position currently based in South Melbourne.

 

Reporting to the Director Adult Retrieval Victoria, the responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the development of Adult Retrieval strategy, plans, policies and procedures consistent with organisational objectives
  • Monitor, track and enhance services and practices to achieve Best Care experience; ensure alignment and integration with broader systems and practices
  • Oversee the management of ARV Systems including REACH, ARVIS, VACIS and telehealth
  • Identify and engage with community associations, leaders and influencers
  • Provide strong and effective leadership to direct reports by fostering a performance based, collaborative culture focussed on continuous improvement and commitment to world class standards
  • Construct performance development plans in conjunction with direct reports, ensuring divisional and departmental objectives are communicated and implemented effectively and appropriately

 

About you

To be considered for this position you are required to be registered and a credentialed MICA Paramedic; possess a tertiary qualification preferably at postgraduate level in a health or business discipline; and maintain a current Authority to Practice.

To be successful, you will be known for your senior operational management experience in large, complex environment preferably in an ambulance, emergency service, health or allied service delivery organisation. You will have demonstrated experience leading innovation including the implementation of initiatives leading to measurable improved service delivery and operational performance.

Your leadership, coaching and team skills to build a productive and cohesive team and ability to manage and develop others to achieve organisational goals and objectives is crucial to this role. It is expected that you have strategic thinking and decision making skills to enable the formulation of strategies that will improve the performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.

The successful candidate must have a current Victorian Driver's License and be willing to travel throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria when required.
