About Land and Building Services: 

Land and Building Services are part of the Business Services Team and are responsible for the management of the substantial CFA real estate assets portfolio. Development of asset management strategies and polices, procurement of real estate assets and asset-life maintenance are all part of the services provided. 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager Asset Services (MAS) and as a member of a state-wide team of Asset Project Officers (APO), as APO, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of asset maintenance and project services and support to achieve improved levels of asset quality across the State.

You will ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of all brigade maintenance services in your assigned area and be responsible for effective and compliant project management and construction supervision of your assigned minor work projects.

Detailed responsibilities are found in the Position Description and will include:

  • Managing the effective implementation of maintenance programs for Land and building assets
  • Undertaking required building condition audits and maintaining and updating the maintenance works database and asset register as required.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against allocated annual maintenance works plans and budgets.
  • Managing tenders and contracts for completing assigned maintenance works and Minor works building projects.

 About you:

To succeed in this key role, you will require Building or Civil trade qualifications. You will also have strong experience in managing the delivery of building maintenance works programs, supervision of minor works projects, building construction and/or facilities management and proven ability to manage concurrent maintenance and other minor works building projects.

You will possess working knowledge of building regulations, the town planning and building works procurement processes and require exposure in utilising maintenance and assets management systems as well as competence in the use of Microsoft office suite applications.
