About us

Information Integrity and Access provides essential corporate services to support the governance, management and delivery of information to the department. This includes the provision of services relating to Freedom of Information (FOI), information privacy, information and records management, archival and mail services, management of the departments electronic document and electronic briefing and correspondence systems.

About the role

This exciting role is responsible for managing support for a new system developed in Office 365 which manages workflow and approvals for briefings, correspondence, ministerial, cabinet and parliamentary document management processes.

As the Assistant Manager, Records Systems Support, you will ensure that the system meets the needs of senior executives and ministers, working closely with key stakeholders, the application owner, other support staff and the development team. 

In the role, you will:

  • manage the delivery of front-line support and ensure responsive services to system users
  • engage with key stakeholders to ensure the system effectively supports business processes
  • act as a point of escalation to resolve complex system issues impacting users, business processes and service delivery
  • develop customer engagement strategies to enable staff to effectively manage information and records in electronic document systems
  • review, update and continually improve online resources maintaining the integrity of data in these systems.

The position provides significant scope for initiative and responsibility, and recognition for achievement. Training will be provided and the successful applicant will be well supported to transition into the role. 

About you

Along with strong stakeholder management, effective communication and organisational awareness, as our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • experience in providing leadership in the support of business systems that improve business processes and records and information practices and compliance in a complex government organisation
  • experience and knowledge in the development and delivery of engagement strategies through the provision of information and guidance programs and initiatives
  • expertise in the use of electronic document systems to provide business efficiencies and process improvements, especially systems delivered on Office 365, SharePoint and collaborative platforms.
