Our maternity service is the largest maternity provider in Victoria providing care to over 9,000 women each year across three hospitals: Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong and Dandenong. Monash Women's provides maternity care for well women and women with more complex and specialty needs.


About the Role


The Associate Midwife Manager performs as a strategic leader. They provide support to the Midwifery Team Leaders and ensure the day to day management of the department is maintained ensuring the provision of a high standard of service delivery. The associate Midwifery Manager is also required to provide assistance and support for the midwifery staff on the floor as required.


This role recognises the needs and acknowledges the dignity, culture and values of the individual woman and her family.  We aim to empower all childbearing women and their families within a service that embraces both continuity of philosophy and consistency of advice and information.


This is a 12 month fixed term (until January 2022) Associate Midwife position across the full scope of practice. It will involve a rotational roster across all shifts.


As a Registered Midwife, you have worked across areas of Antenatal/ post-natal and Birth Suite. We are a collaborative service across Monash Women’s, and Dandenong Maternity has opportunities to grow in providing women centred care. We work within a team model of care - Turquoise, Jade and Rose Quartz teams and in practicing within this model, we provide our women and their families, a consistency across their journey.

What you need:



  • Proven clinical experience across Maternity services is essential

  • Previous leadership experience is highly regarded
