Working in Healthcare has never been more important or meaningful

Our Journey:

Our Monash Women’s services have expanded in 2023, to include Sandringham Hospital maternity, newborn and gynaecology services. As a part of Monash Women’s, families in the local area will now have access to tertiary level services closer to home but still continue to feel part of the community at Sandringham. We continue to work within our low risk model of care within our integrated unit.

A day in the life of an Associate Manager at Sandringham Hospital

We guarantee that no two days will be the same.

Our leadership team are currently looking to role model and mentor Midwives that are looking to grow their career down a leadership pathway. They love coming to work everyday to be able to ensure that our women are receiving safe, women centred care. You’ll enjoy working within our community, with likeminded skilled senior staff and clinical mentors, while being supported by others across the Monash Women’s program.

As a Registered Midwife, you have ideally been able to work across a full scope of Maternity care and gynaecology, and are now ready to take the next step in your career. We are a collaborative service across Monash Women’s, and our Maternity services have opportunities to grow and provide women centred care.

We work within a team model of care - and in practicing within this model, we provide our women and their families, a consistency across their journey.

We have ongoing part time opportunities, working across a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and Night Duty

What you Bring:

You are a Registered Midwife with a positive attitude and passion for women centred care. You share this passion with your women to support them through what should be the most joyful experience in their family life.

Along with this, you have proven experience working in a Maternity service and have demonstrated skills and knowledge in antenatal / post natal and birth suite as a minimum.

You are driven and value consistent quality improvement across the service and bring with you, some creative ideas and passion to implement across the service. Above all, you look forward to growing your career with the support of amazing mentors and educators within our highly skilled broader Maternity team.

As a minimum you can demonstrate:

  • FSEP level 3 certification
  • Proven clinical experience across Maternity Services
  • Leadership experience
  • AHPRA registration
  • Valid working rights

In return:

We will provide consistent community feel while you work in an environment that is dedicated to safe best practice and passionate about Women centred care and patient advocacy. You will be challenged, with opportunities to expand your midwifery knowledge and skills while developing your understanding of the responsibilities of the Associate Midwife Manager.
