Our Journey - Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) at Dandenong Hospital
AAU is undertaking re-development of their General Medical/Surgical Unit. AAU will service 24 beds, admitting patients with, but not limited to respiratory, cardiac, general plastic orthopedic and general surgeries. These patients are projected to have a 24-72hrs stay following assessment and treatment. Further admitted days will result in a intraward transfer for ongoing care.
About the Role
Covering in a temporary role, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse, who foresees clinical leadership in their future, and who ideally has experience in the ANM role. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the ANM will further develop themselves as a leader; being responsible for the clinical and operational outcomes of patients and staff alike. The ANM will proactively contribute to our vision of “exceptional care, outstanding outcomes”. With proven communication and employee management skills, the ANM will be responsible for rostering, maintaining a safe skill mix according to the Safe Patient Act and expected to be a proactive leader in quality and safety; taking on a portfolio to improve our service and action any gaps in accordance to the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
We have a temporary posituon that can be accepted as full or part time for those who can work on a 24/7 rotating roster.

We are looking for someone who has experience working as an ANM, who is looking to continue to develop their leadership and management skills in a supportive team.
On a Personal Level You have:
This role will see you liaising with a wide set of stakeholders, both internally and with our external referral partners, so the ability to build strong relationships will see you excel in these roles. You will have had spent some time in leadership roles, and are looking to continue to develop your management and clinical leadership skills in your next position. You are someone who role models our iCare values and are excited by the opportunity to act as a mentor and support your colleagues.
