The Position 

Position Title: Associate Nurse Unit Manager
Classification: YW11-YW12
Salary per hour (exc. super):  $50.96 - $52.68 
Hours per fortnight: 48 Hours per F/N (Screening Clinic) , 86 Hours per F/N (Vaccination Clinic)
Employment Status: Part Time - Fixed Term

Key Requirements:

  •  Demonstrated knowledge of current issues, trends and research in clinical nursing and particularly in the area of Covid-19 Prevention, swab collection and the prevention of transmission of Covid-19.

  •  Sound interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus.

  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and application of managerial skills.

The Team

The COVID-19 Clinic at Bendigo Health opened in response to the emergence of the novel Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) and which now includes the COVID Screening Clinic, the COVID Vaccination Clinic and the Rapid Response Testing Team (RRTT). The team has responsibility for testing and vaccinating as required throughout the Loddon-Mallee region (a region which encompasses greater than 25% of the state of Victoria and has a population of around 320,000 people).

The purpose of the COVID Screening Clinic is to provide timely, efficient and professional Oropharyngeal and Deep Nasal swab collection to detect and limit the spread of COVID-19. Testing is available to anyone presenting with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and targeted asymptomatic testing is conducted as deemed appropriate by the Department of Health, Victoria (DHHS).

The COVID Vaccination Clinic was established as the administration and distribution hub for the Astra Zeneca and Pfizer vaccines and will be responsible for direct and supported delivery of COVID-19 vaccines across the Loddon Mallee Region. This includes outreach to many of our regional sites. The interdisciplinary team rotate through the various roles associated with the daily running of the clinics.
