ASSOCIATE NURSE UNIT MANAGER (ANUM) – EMERGENCY

Permanent Part Time/ fixed term - all hours considered

About the Role

Registered nurse who works collaboratively with the Unit Manager and the multidisciplinary team to facilitate and foster the provision of best practice standards of nursing care and service delivery that meets the needs of the Patients, their families and carers.

The role is responsible for ensuring appropriate staff levels and skill mix for current and future shifts to facilitate safe patient care. To provide effective leadership on a shift-by-shift basis to achieve the operational objectives of the department. To ensure discharge planning, including flagging admission assessment needs in liaison with multidisciplinary team and manage specialty portfolio.

About You

You must also meet the following requirements:

  • Registration with Nursing Midwifery Board Australia (NMBA)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical area of application is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a clear understanding of the managerial responsibilities of an Associate Nurse Unit Manager
  • A current driver’s licence 
  • Communicates information and expectations clearly and concisely in a way that supports and builds effective and collaborative working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • A Valid Police check
  • COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer -COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination Directions
  • Healthcare to whom the mandatory vaccination (influenza vaccination) directions apply, will be required to be vaccinated annually.
