The Position

Position Title: Associate Nurse Unit Manager
Classification: YW11-YW12
Salary per hour (exc. super): $50.96 - $52.68 per hour
Hours per fortnight: 64 hours
Employment Status: Part Time - Ongoing


The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) should demonstrate the application of evidence-based practice, on-going evaluation of outcomes and continual improvement in service delivery. They should also promote and support the organisational vision and standards of care. The ANUM role provides an important shift management and clinical role within the EDSU at Bendigo Health. The Team 

The Extended Day Surgery Unit (EDSU) at Bendigo Health is a surgical unit, which caters primarily for surgeries in the fields of Urology, General Surgery and Plastic Surgery.  The model of care will primarily see patients admitted overnight for discharge the following day, with the patients will be booked through patient services as per the Department of Health and Human Services extended day surgery unit guidelines.  In order to maintain high levels of occupancy the unit will actively pull patients from both the Emergency Department and the Short Stay Observation Unit at times the unit will accept patients from outside the surgical speciality as deemed appropriate by the Manager of Access and Demand or their delegate.
