Associate Nurse Unit Manager – Flynn Unit (Acute Inpatient Mental Health)

Latrobe Regional Hospital is the main provider of Mental Health services across the Gippsland region.

Our Flynn Unit is a 31-bed unit which provides care for people aged between 16- 65 years delivering acute treatment and recovery-based interventions.

We’re looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager who is passionate about mental health and playing a key role in leading a multidisciplinary team.  Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager you will provide support with the clinical and administrative management of the Flynn Unit, ensuring the achievement of quality patient outcomes are achieved.

While there will be shift work involved, the position on offer is up to full time, providing the flexibility of a work life balance, allowing you to spend time with family and enjoying all that the Gippsland region has to offer.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in inpatient mental health
  • Have prior experience and understanding of managing a shift and ward when out of hours
  • Completed or be enrolled into a Post Grad
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
