About the role
South West Healthcare's Maternity Unit is seeking applications from skilled and experienced Registered Midwife for a permanent position as Associate Midwife Unit Manager (AMUM).
The AMUM will work closely with the Maternity Unit Manager (MUM) in the promotion and maintenance of clinical standards, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care, strategic and effective cost management, supervision of staff and contribute to the overall management of the unit. The role may also present the opportunity to act for the MUM when required.
Permanent part time positions available (40 – 64 hours per fortnight).
What you bring
Applicants will hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife and should have well-developed clinical and problem solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development will be highly regarded. A post graduate qualification in the specialty area of peri-operative nursing is desired but not essential.
