About the role

South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Inpatient Services provides best practice nursing care for consumers in a recovery oriented model through assessment and clinical planning in an inpatient 24/7 setting. Collaboratively our service provision is supported by our Mental Health Community teams and the Prevention and Recovery Centre, providing excellence in care to the broader community in the South West region of Victoria. 

 

As an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) seeking career promotion, this role will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to undertake a range of assessments and contribute to the clinical leadership, function as shift leaders, oversee planning of individual care for each client. You will support the development and maintain a high quality care environment by promoting and participating in quality improvement activities and initiatives.

 

Position overview

  • Full-time and Part-time, On-going positions
  • Registered Psychiatric Nurse
  • Salary Range: $106,834.00 - $110,432.40 pro rata, plus superannuation

 

These positions may be eligible for an incentive payment for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

 

What you bring

As a motivated RPN ideally holding post graduate qualifications in Mental Health you will have demonstrated experience and skills in delivering a broad range of psychiatric care and services to patients in a mental health environment, whether in an inpatient or community setting. The successful candidate must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

You will demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership and remain customer focused at all times.

 

You're proactive, flexible, and resilient and happy to work autonomously, use your initiative, and have a high attention to detail.
