About the role
An opportunity for a skilled and experienced senior Registered Nurse is available within our Paediatric Unit in the position of Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM). Our 10 bed Children's ward looks after our youngest and most vulnerable patients, caring for babies, children and adolescents with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. As part of our highly skilled Paediatric Unit you will work cohesively with various clinical and allied health services to provide positive outcomes for patients and their families.
The ANUM position is responsible for the promotion and maintenance of clinical standards in the Unit, ensuring the delivery of high quality patient care, strategic and cost effective management. The position also contributes to the overall management of the Paediatrics Unit and deputises for the Nurse Unit Manager when required.
This is a permanent part time position.

• Demonstrated excellent clinical assessment skills and evidence of recent advanced nursing care of patients
• Demonstrated strong clinical, safety and professional standards within the area of professional application
• Demonstrated commitment/evidence of commitment to professional development of self and others
• Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Demonstrated ability in decision making, role model, problem solving and supervising staff
Desirable:
• Graduate Certificate or higher in Paediatric Nursing
• Member of professional association is desirable.
